Innovation Inspires Interaction at MD&M West
February 16, 2023

There was quite a turnout at the MD&M West event this year. CQG’s Director of Sales Keith Pollasky and Senior Quality Engineer Luke McKibbin were there to stay on top of the latest innovations in medtech from some of the more than 1000 exhibitors.

There was something for everyone at the exhibition, including educational opportunities, networking events, and inspirational exhibits.

From the Medtech Theater to the Medical Battery Conference & Workshops to the Fundamentals of Medical Device Packaging Course, it was hard to choose one favorite part. Hearing from some well-respected SMEs gave insight into their technical expertise and current trends in medtech.

For the kid at heart, the LEGO Technic Battle of the Brick Bots was an exciting highlight. Competitors were able to build their own unique robot from scratch, with prizes awarded to the best looking, best use of motion, and the survivor of the deathmatch bot battle competition!

While It was hard to pick a favorite with so many choices, Keith really really enjoyed meeting with new suppliers for CQG’s AEP program. Keith leveraged multiple networking opportunities and enjoyed meeting new contacts in the medtech industry.

Luke was able to attend several interesting presentations, including “Innovation from a Practical Standpoint – Simplifying the Medical Device Design Process” by Dan Purvis, CEO & cofounder at Velentium. The highlight for Luke was observing the new robotics technologies available to support the manufacture of medical devices.

Overall Luke and Keith returned to CQG from MD&M West with a renewed sense of optimism and excitement about the future of medtech. MD&M West ran Feb 7-9 in Anaheim, CA.
